This is the slogan of the eleventh version of the Chilean Antarctic Research Congress that will be held in Punta Arenas, between October 24 and 26, 2023. The objective of this congress is to meet and share the continuous growth and strengthening that the National Antarctic Science Program (PROCIEN) has experienced in recent years, added to the progressive interest of universities in developing research in Antarctic topics.

Our research team will actively participate in this meeting, presenting multiple works on the Ecophysiology of Antarctic Plants. Thus, Drs. León Bravo, Dariel López and Patricia Sáez, will participate together with doctoral students Karla Villenas and Valentina Vallejos, presenting the works titled: Physiological responses of two species of the genus Colobanthus to water stress, Effects of in situ warming on the Antarctic vascular plants: is there a trade-off between growth/photosynthesis and stress resistance?, How can asymmetric warming cause deacclimation to cold in Deschampsia antarctica? , CaOx crystals in C. quitensis leaves and their relationship with photosynthesis and, Effects of warming on the hydraulic-photosynthetic performance of Antarctic vascular plants faced with successive freeze-thaw cycles. All this research has been developed thanks to financing of INACH projects (INACH RT 13_16, INACH RT 18_18), Fondecyt 1211231, ANILLO 210038 and Basal Center FB210006.

We wish our team and all those who will participate in this great event much success.
